Alterstudio Architecture with the Lakeview Residence followed a concept in which they adapted the architecture of the space to be able to use the trees as elements of the final design . This house, located in Austin, Texas, fully adapts to its environment, which is a forest of hundred-year-old trees that interact with the different spaces of this family residence. This house creates harmony with the environment and the nature that surrounds it inspired the materials used to perfectly match the colors of the area.
The Bosco Verticale apartment complex in Milan was built in 2014, with the design and execution of Borei Studio, the firm developed by Stefano Boeri, Gianandrea Barreca and Giovanni La Varra. This project has two residential towers of 80 and 112 meters high, but the most representative element is the spectacular set with the vegetation as the backbone element . The construction has the capacity to house 800 trees, 11,000 plants and 5,000 shrubs. Creating a structure that uses vegetation as a design element but also favors the development of an urban ecosystem of great ecological value.
Yin & Yang House
The house created by Estudio Penda, currently known as Precht, was born out of the need of a local family that sought to completely disconnect from technology and blend in with nature in their own home, so the trees functioned as the main element and of inspiration. The house is located in the German city of Kassel and the vegetation is the protagonist of the interior and exterior of this property . Thanks to the incredible project that was created, the inhabitants have the possibility of growing their own food, incorporating greenhouses for the winter and rows of pots for the rest of the year. In addition, the roof design allows for the collection of rainwater which can be used to water your numerous plants and trees.
Rio de Janeiro Brazil
Casa Vogue, located in Rio de Janeiro, is a sustainable home designed by architect Alessandro Sartore for an art collector who wanted a home that would serve as the location for family retreats. This construction has many details that distinguish it, but the most important is that of the tree located in the center of the living room . This tree was the inspiring element that determined the entire distribution of the house, drawing attention to the trend of incorporating the nature of the environment as one more element in the decoration of the houses .
Sint-Michielsgestel, The Netherlands
This building named Green Villa is the work of the MVRDV studio and is located in the Dutch city of Sint-Michielsgestel. This project is impressive thanks to its way of incorporating concrete architecture and bioflílica architecture , and the facade of the building is built in concrete by way of shelves bearing plants, shrubs and trees, which are responsible for dressing in vertical forest shape to the building . This nursery looks like something out of a fairy tale thanks to architects called Tezuka Architects, who went to great lengths to create an unconventional nursery project. This nursery was called “the ring around the tree” and is a construction that was carried out as an extension of a preschool .
